My Budge Proof Makeup Must haves

Happy 2018 Everyone! I hope everyone bought in the new year with loved ones and had fun!
My boyfriend and I decided to buy tickets to a pop-up Christmas bar called Frosty’s. It was a 3-floor bar that was Christmas on steroids, there were Christmas decor EVERYWHERE and even a small elf running around photobombing your selfie. If you follow me on Instagram, you know what I am taking about.

Anyways, that night was filled with dancing and when you’re trying to look good you need budge-proof makeup that will last past the midnight mark because let’s be honest, the party doesn’t end at 12 o’clock.
So, here are the makeup items that I have added to my collection this past year that have not let me down.

If you like to recreate this look, here is my Youtube tutorial.

Primer

Primer is a MUST before your foundation application to prolong the life and look of your foundation, especially if you’ll be wearing your makeup all day long. I have very dry skin so any product that will add moisture to my skin is an automatic no-brainer for me. The Hangover Rx primer has coconut water to add moisture back into the skin, it feels like a light-weight moisturizer your applying to your skin. This primer improves the look of your foundation by far and is now a step I can not miss when doing my makeup. I also use this primer on a light makeup day to smooth the look of pores and help apply blush and bronzer.

Foundation

Foundation is the most important to your makeup collection because it is the base and can help you apply your blushes and bronzers beautifully. In the year of 2017, I have discovered the Lancôme Teint Idole, it is a velvety matte that is buildable to full coverage and leaves the skin beautiful and poreless. If you have freckles and want a full coverage foundation that allows those freckles to peak out, this is the foundation for you. If you would like something to completely erase freckles or blemishes I would suggest the Estee Lauder Double Wear .

Concealer

Concealer is a beauty product I use every day. If I am going to run some quick errands I just dab a little bit of concealer and mascara and run out the door. Concealer is critical ay helping you look brighter and more awake, but it is important that it also is long lasting and does not make your under eye look dry. That is why I have been sticking to the Urban Decay Weightless concealer, it has not let me down in the hottest days of summer but of course, it is important to set concealer so it does not move throughout the day.

Powder

Powder is extremely important to set the face and undereyes so the product you have applied stays in place while remaining beautiful. I have been using the Lancôme Dual Finish powder. It is the only powder I have tried that I can use for both the face and the undereye. It leaves the skin looking poreless and just sets everything to last the entire day or night.

Bronzer

This year was the first time I have used Hoola Bronzers and I have no idea what took me so long. These bronzers are so easy to work with and can work with so many skin tones. For a glam look where I want a very contoured look, I apply the Hoola stick and set it with the Hoola powder. On a regular day basis, especially now since winter has set in and my skin is in need of some color I always use the hoola powder to add a nice wash of color to my face, even if I dont have foundation on it blends effortlessly.

Eyes

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism Palette and my Morphe Palette are my ride or dies. The pigment of this shadows are incredible and are so easy to blend. They are very long lasting and just look so pretty on the eyes. If you are on a budget I can not suggest Morphe palettes enough, the price you pay for the amount of colors and qaulity you get is just unbeatable.
I would also include the Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencil, I have tried drugstore eyeliners but keep coming back to these 24/7 pencil because they are so creamy and depenable. When your wearing these you know that waterline is gonna stay in place and not budge.
For the bottom lashes I can not ditch the Clinique Lash Doubling mascara, it makes your bottom lashes look SO long and does not transfer on to the skin. It also makes for a great day time mascara for a natural look to make your lashes look long and non-cluppy.

Lips

For this look I used the Mac Cremola lip liner, Mac Cosmetics lip liners are so good at doing their job. These pencils keep your lipstick from feathering out and prolong the wear of a creme lipstick. They are the lip liners I can depend on. Another option would be Colourpop lipliners, they are a more affordable option and have so many colors to choose from.
